Is a tomato a fruit? In any case tamarillo’s or “Tree tomatoes” have a taste that is distinct from the tanginess of regular tomatoes. Despite being native to India, this wonderful fruit is found in very limited quantities in the country. It has an acidic sweetness and is best consumed as part of a salad.
